It was supposed to come yesterday, but no one was home.

It finally came today, and my son luckily got of the bus just as he was there.

I was very happy it had the heated handle (that works) and it's relatively clean :dex: Better than the pics showed!! And I never noticed it was a non decomp model.

The ad stated it came with a 32" bar, buy it was a 28"?!?! Not that I am mad about it? But I had the 32" sold before it even hit my door.

Definitely gonna get some trigger time at the GTG this Sat!! :dex:

Nice! I almost bought one a year ago. I walked 10 feet away at a flea market & when I turned around it was sold. I'm too ashamed to say what it went for.

Super clean! Where'd you get it if you don't mind me asking?

Edit: that stihl box is cool too :saw:

It was an EBay find... It went up and within minutes, I paid BIN price.

I missed out on 2 that were even nicer than this one. They were not Arctic models, but as close to NOS as they come.

The Stihl box was a CL find for $50. I love it! It's a great setting for a pic!!

Sure looks like it! That's a good deal on the box, I would've been all over that too

    Good find:drool:

It is funny how people never know what size bar is on their saw.

It's missing the sticker on the brake handle and the clutch cover is beat up. More so than the saw (magic marker on the Stihl letters and line / the line shouldn't be black). I will likely order a large Clutch cover for my 460 and put the 460 cover on the 440....

440, 441, 460.... Series is complete. Unless I find a Minty 10 mm 044 (with dual port muff, HD2, and square filed chain).

I love that 440!!!! Those look like their older brother (044) with the squared off look !

Been looking for a 440 to get the timing numbers, pull the jug, and do some grinding.....

I am sure it wont be long before its monkeyed with !!!

    Nice score !!!

That is the one thing about the bigger Stihl's that gets on my nerves. They like to fall over onto the clutch cover when riding in the back of a truck. The 372 on the other hand is happy as a clam.
