My New Knife

    Dad has been making knives lately, he made one from a saws all blade with the saw on one side, blade on the other. Here is one he made for me from an old circular saw blade.

    One of the best parts-- the hilt is made from my great grandma's walnut tree.

    That is a good looking knife! I like it better knowing who made it and where the parts of it came from. :)

    nice knife reminds me of a dexter boning knife. probably a little thicker and shorter? should be a workhorse.

    Yeah, he said he just drew a line he though would be usuable. Looks shorter and thicker, dead on.

    He's working on a santoku for me now. That one should be BA!

    So, not quite a santoku, but a nice knife. Sharpened the wrong side of the blade. Just used it to cleave some ribs, worked well.
