This popped up on CL recently, the owner having purchased it for business use shortly before going out of business. It had never even been assembled, let alone gassed up or started. I picked it up this afternoon for about $100 under the dealer price, with half the warranty remaining.

My hope is that this will compensate for the loss of the 200T I plan to sell soon. The 200 is a beautiful machine, largely because it's so much lighter than my other saws. But, I don't climb, a rear-handle saw should be somewhat safer, and the 200T should bring at least twice what I paid for this thing. Now I just need to find some twigs that need cutting...

Yeah, I was figuring on eBay for that one. I'm not sure we have too many members crazy enough to pay what they're going for.

That saw is gorgeous. I love my 192 TC. If you ever want to part with it, I'm a lover of baby saws. My 192 is a light saber compared to anything else.

It is pretty, but I hardly know what to make of a new saw. Usually they're broken (or at least broken in) when I get them, which gives me an excuse to pull some covers off and get familiar with the mechanism. But this one's shininess is almost forbidding -- it's like it doesn't need me. :(

The new MS150 makes a 192 feel heavy and look huge. Check it out.

Cool. I wonder how my old 009 compares to that thing? I am thinking of upgrading to a newer saw. Selling my 009 outright, or trading it in, and then buy a newer saw. I think I could get more selling it though. Seems like I asked them one time and they could only give me $25 for it. And it runs good. Hmmmm.

I saw that on the website. No dealer around here has them in stock. That's a prosaw I believe. Only 6 pounds

I think it would be awesome for what most of us want a top-handle for. Not many of us are tied off in a tree taking apart 16" limbs. For zipping up stuff under 6", the 150 looks and feels right to me. A good bit more money than the 192 however.

Yes...about $450 from memory. I looked and no dealer had it in stock.

These baby saws are almost more dangerous. Very easy to one hand them and get in trouble. That chain is still spinning 45 mph and with the narrow kerf could rip your arm or leg pretty badly

I've never handled an 009, but it looks like the 192 is slightly more powerful and considerably lighter. The 150 is less powerful than either, but much, much lighter. I imagine the AV is much better on the newer saws, too.

Selling your 009 yourself, you'd get... what, $75 or so? Certainly more than what the dealer will give you, but it depends what your time is worth. Trying to get top dollar on Craigslist is a good way to waste a lot of time.

There's a smallish blown-down maple at the end of my street that may be this saw's first project when weather is conducive. There are a lot of branches to be cleaned up, some under tension, which is just the sort of work I imagine this saw to be good for. I'll probably want to grab a bigger saw for the bucking, but we'll see.

Congrats Jon! That's a beauty! If I was gonna own a small saw, that one is at the top of my list. If it had to be top handle? Then the 191 would be the one.

Thanks, Dex. BTW, I saw a CL ad from a guy in your area looking for a place to cut firewood. It included pics of the most impeccable wood stacks, and the writing style seemed familiar. I think you must know him...
