Purely by chance. On my way across town to do a little job and passed this. BL stump cut off. IMG_4591.JPG On the way back i see an Asplundh guy there. He couldnt vouch for these. Homeowner in back arrived and his grandson taking them but stump wood was all mine. IMG_4590.JPG IMG_4589.JPG Quick trip home for the 400, some lunch and i headed back. IMG_4592.JPG IMG_4593.JPG IMG_4594.JPG About a face cord. IMG_4595.JPG IMG_4596.JPG Hydro wouldnt start so the X27 to the rescue. Added to a temporary stack of bark on BL. Some shorts and gnarlies to process yet. IMG_4597.JPG IMG_4598.JPG

The Briggs on my huskee hates starting when it’s cold the primer system on it is junk. A quick sniff of brakekleen gets her going every time!

Nice score Brad. Some good stumps there.

had an issue this fall with water in the gas on my conveyor. Ran real rough but it ran,,,,,,so I ran it LOL. Some new gas and it’s back to normal. Try to keep the engine and tank covered now. Not much else can be done. We had some real heavy rains this year that overcame the cap is all I can think.

I had a little water in the gas can spout which i drained out before i filled tank before Christmas. Ran briefly then died. Had a guy fix it and it worked fine since. I keep a tarp over it and got a new spout for can and fresh gas. I have someone i can trust coming tomorrow.

Get a bucket that'll cover the important areas of your splitter. It avoids any puddleing and eventual seepage.

Funny thing is that ive driven by that tree for years and never knew of BL under i joined FHC five years ago. Once i knew what they looked liked i can spot them anywhere at any time of the year. I often said id take the wood from it and low and behold it was cut down as the wires run along a long driveway.

    Didn't have to.

I thought I was Quincy , I arrived and it was my job to give the official report that it was deceased.
Zero compression , not even any to push the finger off the spark plug hole.
Excellent spark , and plenty of fuel but if you can't compress it just isn't going to run.

Not sure what went south but it's done.

Time for the "Harbor Fright" Predator conversion.

When things get tough a Briggs will let go. Probably nothing you did wrong.

Just wondering if the guy who fixed it a couple weeks ago messed it up. Seemed like he knew what he was doing. Shop was very tidy. My age and a lifetime in the trade too.

As much as i hate to admit it, taking care of OPE is not one of my strong points in life. :emb:
