I play guitar and drums. Have since I was in K5. I like everything from George Jones to Alice in Chains. NO rap and I am a happy camper.
I enjoy some big band stuff. Being a percussionist, I played a lot of that stuff coming up. Loved it!
Don't play any instruments except the occasional air guitar.....I like lots of different music, rock, country but for the last 10 to 15 years I listen to Christian mostly. My son bought us a new victrola for Christmas so I was spinning some Eagles, Bob Seger and Frampton.
I’ll be one of the few (if not the only) here. I can listen to anything not called country but grew up and still listen to rap/hip hop at 42. I will admit as I get older country isn’t as bad as it was when I was younger.
90's/ late 80s hip hope kid here too but that branched into everything except NEW country, the old stuff is still good. Went to a Sturgill Simpson show, and he may make you a believer in what you don't hear on the radio.
Great line. I like a lot of different music. Except country, and jazz. I mostly listen to alt rock, though.
Ditto. I'm the same age, and like rap/hip hop too. Although today's country music isn't really country music.
1. Bluegrass 2. Old Country (not the crap they are trying to push these days) 3. Classic Rock (Eagles, Lynrd Skinner, Allman Bros., etc.) 4. 50's-60's Rock & Roll
Good taste. Station around here that just changed over used to play an all 90s week at the end of the year and it was the best. Grunge and alternative just works for me.
Unfortunately, I do not play any instruments. I listen to a wide variety of music. Growing up around six brothers, two sisters, and different friends, you hear a lot of different stuff. Don’t like to listen to Rap. I am low on newer music, and I need to branch out. So much good stuff out there. Not enough time in the day to listen to it though. Here is a very short list of some of my stuff on my I-phone right now. This changes regularly...... AC/DC Allman Brothers America Black Sabath Bob Segar Bryan Adams Christopher Cross Cold Play Counting Crowes CCR Crosby, Stills and Nash Dave Mathews Dire Straights The Doobie Brothers Dr. Hook The Eagles Gordon Lightfoot Green Day Greg Allmand Band Joe Cocker Led Zeppelin Little River Band Louis Armstrong The Marshall Tucker Band Mumford and Sons 10,000 Maniacs Neil Diamond Neil Young Paul Simon Pearl Jam Peter Frampton Peter Gabriel Phillip Phillips Styx Tom Petty and The Heart Breakers Zac Brown Band
I can appreciate a rather eclectic range of styles and genres. Not too much rap, thrash/doom metal or disco though.
Highway 61 blues/folk/classic R&R. I have a nice Martin 00028-EC, Thompson T2 12 fret, Larrivee old rosewood 12fret custom and a Larrivee Koa parlor. I dabble in the old alternating bass finger style blues. Mississippi John Hurt/Lead Belly/Blind Willie McTell and on and on. Good stuff.
