Nice. I went out last night and didn't find a damm thing. I take that back...I found one dried up black morel. Gonna hit my secret spot tomorrow. Last year I found about 40 nice yellows there.

None here yet, though a cousin found a 1/2 gallon plastic Tupperware bowl full about 2 weeks ago & a Schwans 2 1/2 gallon bucket full last weekend. He's about 3 hours to my southwest,so it should be any day now for up here hopefully.Cold & rainy since Sunday here, warmer with sunshine all weekend into early next week now.

Wow......I LOVE those morels! I have a hard time finding them myself, I looked everywhere the other day when turkey hunting on the mountain but found none. But it is cooler there at altitude, the buds are barely opened up there yet.

I found all but a few (122) in one patch. It was all in a 10'x10' area. Best patch of yellows I ever tripped over

This was pure dumb luck. They had no business on a dam near vertical hillside growing around an ash tree. I was walking the property line and found 4...then a whole lot more a few feet away. If that hill wasn't so steep that they were right at eye level I would have walked right by them.

You aren't looking at the right time and/or in the right spots then.
