Is $99 a good price at the pawn shop?

Yep. I paid $125 and it was not only pretty, but ran great. For $99? Grab it. If you don't want it? I will buy it off of you :)

Ugh, I was only there 30 minutes and hadn't heard anything. The pawn shop is over an hour and a half from my house so i probably won't be up there any time soon. I had Swags in mind for this one since I am pretty happy with my Jred but I guess it wasn't meant to be. Anyone in or around Lancaster should go look at it. I sure wish I knew more about used saw prices

Happens to all of us man !! What I do...is peruse Ebay......go into the completed listings of the saw you are looking for....and that can give a fella a good idea of stuffs worth . Buy and sell long enough like I have....the answers to something's worth comes automatic now . You will get there buddy :)

Generally if the item is in good condition & I can get it for less than 1/2 price I feel I got a good deal, provided I need it.

If I don't need it, then it needs to be less than 1/3 of new so I can resell or trade it & still come out ahead.

If you have a smart phone you could go online to check prices. I don't so I have to rely on my feeble brain.

I would have got the saw. ;)
