This past week or so we have had some bad thunderboomers nearly every day. Pecan limbs are getting heavy with nuts and the limbs are coming down. Been able to pick up a good bit roadside. 0812201036.jpg 0812201036_HDR.jpg I had the Husky 55 with me yesterday. I cut 2 big limbs up on the way home from work. Getting a nice little stash built up. 0813200848.jpg

Roadside pecan, I can only dream... did you pick up some nuts as well? Are they any good to eat fresh, as opposed to dry?

They aren't ripe yet. Can't eat them green.

Well, I didn't have any neighbors :rootintootin: at me for firing up the saw @ 7AM...so that was a good thing...If I see some that I normally get, I'll grab it. Got some dogwood and Bradford pear that way too.

Does the moss burn well? Looks like the NW Pacific area.

I usually dries or we pull it off. It's called resurrection fern. Mostly see it on pecan trees. It will get dry and brown, get some rain, greens up quick again
