Another morning in the woods cutting Douglas-fir. Was a good day. I even got it split and stacked as well. About 1/4 Cord.

Looks like some pine in the forest too. Looks like good cutting country, not as much brush as there is along the coast.

Yup, Lots of Ponderosa pine. So Douglas fir is preferred over that, more BTUs but it grows at a higher elevation and not as many of them so I felt lucky to get what I did. That particular spot had a big forest fire about 9 years ago. But this tree made it through that only to fall more recently. It still had plenty of its needles on it.

This week is clear and sunny. High 70s to 90 degrees. But right now it’s clouding over. If I go in the morning it’s good firewood cutting weather. How’s it where you are?

It's been cool and wet here for the most part but suddenly it is hot and humid. Not as bad today though. The dewpoint has been coming down all day so it is really nice now. Supposed to be nice again tomorrow with a high of 81 then the weather turns wet once again starting Monday.

Great pictures and firewood. Just the right size! I love how the air smells up in country like that!

Dog looks happy with his accomplishments. Almost looks like your not gonna get any credit at all.
