Had the chimney on our old Superior fireplace cleaned today, first time since purchasing our home two years ago (I know, I know...). Anyway, after the sweep was done, he asked if we'd be interested in an insert. I didn't realize you could put an insert inside a zero-clearance fireplace?! Said he had a slightly used Monessen Windsor and could have it installed and burning for less than $2k. That's about half what I was looking at for a replacement Ladera (by Astria) unit installed by myself.

Anyone have experience with the Windsor?
