Anybody recommend a moisture meter that won’t break the bank but is still reliable? Looked at reviews for the cheaper ones such as found at HF, not impressed. I burn 3-4 year old wood but just curious how fast different types dry. Thanks. Oh yeah, please include where the meters can be purchased.

I see ryobi makes a Bluetooth version of the moisture meter I have. It's also 45 bucks vs the 20-25 of the old headphone jack one. TBH, I use the DR meter one more as it's super handy, and no phone needed.
I have the general tools one as well. Does the job. However I can attest that the pins are no match for very dry black locust.
YUP! Just point at a log and get an instant result. State of the art technology! More like state of the art BS. It was $34.97. They forgot the decimel point.
... I got the cheap one from HF. It was only 13 bucks. It is the Pittsburgh brand. ...it seems to do fine. There is also a "hard" setting for cement and drywall. So what are people paying for with the more expensive ones... more precise? More features?
