Bought one of these after firing my brother's... too much fun. I took a bunch of pictures for a gun forum to compare machining to HK MP5K.

    Here it is.

After examining at the FFL, I accepted and came home. I swabbed to bore with a snake and fired about 10 rounds. No malfunctions so I dissambled and cleaned and took these pictures.

Could the brass look like that because the rifling in the barrel is cut too deep? Or the chamber area isn't cut deep enough? I'm sure your firearm forum buddies should know. Id be curious to hear why.

Looks like a blast to shoot… But yeah I would definitely do some investigation before sending too many rounds through it. Chamber dimensions and such. If that case isn’t sealing when the cartridge ignites, that’s not good.

The chamber is fluted to aid in extraction. It allows gas to flow around the spent casing, making a gas pocket between the casing and the chamber.

This is a picture of a fluted chamber. Not mine, but looks the same.

Seems like an odd way to do it. Do they need to be cleaned often? Do they have feed issues when they get dirty?

Idk about feed issues, I've only fired about 300 rounds now, and just had the last round on the magazine hang up the first time through.

The Spanish invented the Cetme rifle in the mid 1950s, and it was the roller lock design and fluted chamber like HK uses today on many of their Firearms.

There is objectively "better" weapons and/or calibers for most scenarios I'm sure, and this is just semiautomatic, but it a fantastically fun and pretty darn quiet little 9mm.

Here is the Wikipedia page for the HK MP5K, which is what this gun is based from(an older generation likely).

It claims many countries and groups still use them.

They claim over 100 different variants and clones!! Id say it's a pretty reliable design if it's been remade that many times.

Do you have your paperwork in for a real can? Or is that one? Its hard to tell on my phone. Seems like i can hear an echo.

I have 2 factory made silencers.

First I bought is a Silencerco Hybrid 46.
SilencerCo Hybrid 46 - The Universal Suppressor
I can use it on everything I own, that has muzzle threads and is .46 cal and lower. It's kind long and a little heavy, but it's made to last and run on anything that'll fit through the hole

The second silencer I bought is a Dead Air Mask 22.
    Mask-HD | Dead Air Silencers
It's a "22" can that can run 5.7 and down, and is also tough and can shoot anything that will fit. The internal baffles are machined from stainless so it's built to last as well. 22 rifle silencers build up lead inside quickly, and this one breaks down with strong internals, compared to aluminum on cheaper models.

I have 3 silencers paid for that I'm waiting for ATF and Joe Biden to allow me to take home.

    Another Dead Air Mask HD, a Dead Air Nomad 30 Nomad-30 | Dead Air Silencers , and a YHM R9 https://www.silencershop.com/yhm-r9.html .

Here is a YouTube video I made comparing my Dead Air Mask HD on different Firearms.

Cellphone video isn't ideal because it mutes loud sounds and raises low sounds, but it gives a rough idea.
