So much for March being our heavy snow month.
Came home to no snow, the 8 cord , 17/18 wood stack, should'v e dried well thru this winter.
Very dry. High fire danger warnings.

On the bright side you won't have to cut as much next year. :)

We had a tough winter down here. Went through nearly all of my wood for this season, only have enough for three or four more fires.

It's currently 72 degrees but promises of low 20's or teens this weekend means I'll be putting the rest of that wood to good use.

I've already hauled in one load of black locusts for next winter with two or three more truck loads waiting. :axe:

Yeah, I'm pretty sure our February helped your winter out. You're welcome.

I have 49 degrees here in Vermont and it's the warmest it's been since last year. Still have up to a foot of snow in some places and that's not even in the piles. Right now I'd take Alaska over this mess.

A little cloudy now, but still 48°, to be low 30°s tonight.

    Yea
no need, or want, to get far from the stove at those temps :)

Wife did great while I was gone. Only thing she didn't like was binging wood to the house.
Glad I had 6 weeks worth in the basement, she only need to bring in some for a couple days before I got back

Yeah, you guys got slaughtered down there. We seem to be in a little pocket here. Often, the snow and ice will miss us north or south, and that held true this year. Many times, you'd be getting major snow or ice, and we'd just get a dusting. We did get a couple good snows, though, and plenty of cold.
