So my wife is a big city firefighter now but 4 years ago when she was going thru training she struggled with a drill called the kaiser sled, its basically hitting an i beam with a sledge hammer from one end of a box to the other. I had just the practice she needed. I took her out and got her splitting firewood to practice her swing and build some confidence in placing the tool where she intended for it to go She caught on very well and helps out with wood quite a bit. This weekend however i was out of town for a long weekend and i came home to this. A little over 2 cords of ash c/s/s. She dropped the trees, drug them up to the house, bucked them and then even split it all. Not to bad! image1.JPG image2.JPG

She's a keeper for sure, my wife doesn't do anything with firewood.

Yea I'll say not to bad. Looks like a seasoned veteran to me. Goes to work makes good money and then can do 2 cord of wood for you. Tell her I said congratulations.

A winner for sure! More women should be like that!

Now all we have to do is show her how to stack that wood without using the t-posts.

Will she be joining our club then?

That's impressive!!! 2 cords, from standing trees to stacks? Hand split? Even spread out over a long weekend, that's a lot of work! I'd be whooped!

Get that woman a beer! And cook her some dinner too while you're at it!
