I am running to Grand Rapids tomorrow to visit one of my helpers- Richelle. She is doing an internship there with an engineering company. Asked if I planned to visit (recent conversation we had). I think she needs a friend.

we plan to do ride on Saturday . Any pretty areas to ride to? I see Gun Lake as a potential destination, and recall one of the Hoarders is from that area.

Thanks, going to be fun ride. I plan to return through Coldwater to visit the gravesite of one of our deputies who was a line of duty death in 2008. So I will be running that way back.

    thanks for any tips.

I would enjoy meeting you. I am near Gun Lake. Less than a mile north. If you like we can take a tour of the car park as well. Lunch would be on my dime. Let me know if you can make it!

We took a ride out to see Lake Michigan and raise some state highways back. Nice scenery.

Well I didn't get the chance to catch up with amateur cutter , as Richelle had the morning filled with stuff. It would have been a great day I am sure. I did get to do some dress shoping, and a few other things I hadn't anticipated.

Today I have recovered from my 12 hour day of hard riding, that began at 05:00. Rain was due in GR so I wanted to get ahead of it. I took two lane highways down through Dowling and Hwy 66. was on a nice stretch of rural highway when the sun came up. Arrived in Coldwater and located the cemetary were my coworker was laid to rest at too young an age. A nice quiet place in the country. She was also a veteran, and marked accordingly with flags and plaqcquards. I left a challenge coin there and headed south.

Michigan has a vibe to it, in particular around the water areas. Though Grand Rapids drivers are pretty abrupt and discourteous, even to motorcycles.

Now that the weather has cooled, thoughts must now turn to chains saws, splitters, and all the Fall necessities that ensure a warm home this Winter.
