Anyone in the michigan area want to get together on the Lansing MI area at my place BBQ run some saws and what not? Everyone would he invited. Including people you know who like to cut wood that are not appart of forum. Family too. Bring a dish and ill cook the course. Ill host and cook everything with wood fired cook ware.
Sounds like a great idea, Pallet Pete is close as well as a lot of other members. We loved the last one we had down this way. Just give it plenty of time to allow people to commit to a date and schedule availability.
Not sure on the date yet. Probably late spring or early summer. April so its not hot to run that saws and do out door log chops. But if anyone has a weekend date they.want to pick put it out there .

Makes me wish I lived closer to Michigan! I don't think I'll be able to make it this spring or summer (kids and their darn activities) but I've got to get up that way one day soon to visit Backwoods Savage! For a wood burner that's like a religious pilgrimmage.
Well, if you've ever lived below the bridge.....once a troll, always a troll. However, I think there may be a time factor involved to be considered a true troll. Might even be a residency thing. Anywho, I think you're safe.
That's what I'd say Steven. For sure you would want to have it before Memorial Day and graduations, etc. Also no Easter weekend and not sure about spring breaks if that would affect it at all. Guess if it were me, I'd say aim for mid to late April. Or let's say, the weekends of 4/18, 4/25 or 5/2. How does that sound?
I would love to meet up.. I have a rediculous busy schedule in April.. On the road for 3 weeks... But the first weekend in May might work for me..
