Ok I have followed the instructions to the T and am getting annoyed now.. This is my second axle delivery that is the wrong size from Dexter Axle and there service is absolutely terrible…………………..Anybody have a better place to buy a dexter axle other than through Dexter Axle. A vendor.

Here is what I am working on. Its an old popup trailer that I stripped down 5 years ago and converted into a wood hauler with a 1700lb axle. The axle mounts are 55 1/4" but in reality there held on with a frame plate on each side bolted in. I have been trying to order a leaf spring axle 3500lb to use instead of the torsion due to cost and I want it taller. The measurement I sent for the spring center was 53.125" and they said no prob. Now I have a second axle with the center at 60" again. I called they said no you told us 60". Actually it doesn't need to be dexter but they come highly recommended for quality and look very well made.

I am losing my mind today. Sorry for the rant.

Redneck is OK, but for the last year or so we've used Rockwell/ Quality trailer. Good service and inventory.

Well I called a ton of places but all needed to custom measure in person. Redneck actually found a place who will build one custom for me about 8 miles away. The total was 173.50 for a 3500 lb leaf spring setup with mounting hardware. I am very happy with that! Thanks guys.

Right where I want to be.
Heck, for that, I'd go pick the guy up and drive him back if it made it right.
    Nice find, Pete.

6 Roblees here is where I get trailer running gear parts. I just got the axles I needed, some purches and did some welding.
