I have had a life long love of woodworking and have been a subscriber of Fine Homebuilding magazine and occasionally Fine Woodworking magazine. The other day I viewed a Youtube video by the editors of Fine Woodworking titled, Masters of the Craft. It was an inspiring look at craftsmanship in different forms. I sent Fine Woodworking an email praising their fine work. Today, received a reply with entire in house videos that they will be posting on Youtube in the coming weeks and months. They said that I could go to this link and view the stories before they go out on Youtube. So, you'll need to navigate this link:
'Masters of the Craft' Blog - Fine Woodworking

I would recommend: Hank Gilpin - Exploring the American Forest and Howard Werner - Artist with a Chainsaw. I found those two to be very interesting. Hope you enjoy them as well.

Cool stuff Marty. I have a brother who is quite a craftsmen. He has his own business in Custom Hardwood Flooring. He also does custom built staircases, molding, and is expanding into some general construction work. He has developed a good reputation of quality work over the years and has customers from home owners to state and private colleges. He regularly reads Fine Home Building Magazine, amongst others, and has actually had some pictures/stories of some of his custom floors in a few magazines. I wish I had the money to hire his crew to build my whole horse barn!
