Wanted to share what a great experience I had, have this posted on the other site as well: So, as the title says, I basically bought/stole this saw from Randy last weekend. http://firewoodhoardersclub.com/for...-rebuilt-ported-weekend-special-600-00.12572/ I'm not sure if he got into the sauce before he posted this or maybe some medicinal herbs but the price was incredible. (Just playin) Needless to say, I jumped on it like a bum on a bologna sandwich. It showed up yesterday as I was in the garage filing chains. Packed nice, looked better than the pictures. Went out to my cutting spot, fueled up with klotz original techniplate and 90octane efree at 32-1 and it fired up in three pulls. Better stiffen your upper lip when you tug the cord on this one. I have to say that this is the strongest, meanest and toughest sounding chainsaw I've ever ran! With a 20" bar and an old chipper chain, it ate through a couple white oak logs with a vengeance. This saw is very very angry. I was so impressed that I sent the man an email right after I put the saw down. Couldn't wipe the stupid smile off my face. He really has these saws "figured out"! Anyone on the fence about getting a mastermind ported saw, get off the fence and buy one when you have a chance.. He's a great guy and his work is top notch. Thanks again Randy, you're the best!
Sweet man!!! Glad to hear you are liking it! My 460 is at his house as we speak for an attitude adjustment. Now I can't wait to run it when it gets back!
I've never been scared of a chainsaw before, but this one gets me grippin the handle a little tighter than the others. I believe you'll be blown away by your saw. Let us know what you think!
I'm so happy that saw is getting monkeyed with! I wouldn't mind running that one if we ever cross paths again!
Watch that smile.. Mine gets full of sawdust .. Sweet saw and video. Run a ported saw you will be hooked.
That argument get's repeated many times over with slight variation. Could be the 044/440/046/460/461. Safe to say all of the 1128 series saws kick azz.
Ive met him a couple times at TLandrums Gtg's, He's Bitter Man who takes it out on the Saws he works on (Kidding, He's actually a very laid back fun dude to be around) when I saw him he wasn't running saws, he was just watching, listening, learning, contemplating his next move Lol... Really, what I've seen of Randy he's one cool Cat.. Everyone there looked up to/ Respected him and he didn't have a bad word for anyone or their saws.. Glad to see he's got a good following...
What I always say, Slap it's Azz and hold it wide open (in the wood) if it makes you smile it's a Good one... (that youll never get rid of)
