Needing to do a little work on the snow blower. I made due with what I can find in town now but not taken with the fit. I hate to get soaked but think I may bite the bullet and order the manufacturer belts and do the whole thing with drive and auger belts and a new friction wheel. Had to adjust the kinda close auger belt to the max to get the belt to work but if it stretches I'm sitting on the sidelines again. From the looks of things after doing some looking both the belts on it are xx.5 inch belts. Great way to force you to order only their belts by making them in 1/2 inch increments. If I'd go down 1 inch it doesn't completely disengage and the auger/impeller still turns some when "out of gear" and am afraid the drive belt will be the same story of either almost too big or just too tight and won't disengage the wheels completely. What words of wisdom do you guys have? Ultimately it is an MTD but is branded a Troy Bilt.

Get on Amazon or eBay with the length belt and width, you can find almost anything in rubber belts or kevlar sleeved belts
