In contrast to SAD (Splitter Acquisition Disorder), let's see some of the best axe, maul, and wedge collections out there! These can be anything from "trophy axes" that never leave the wall to proud daily cutters to the "wall of shame" tools that met an early demise under unusually stupid circumstances (oops) and tools bought with best of intentions but never could cut a stick of butter due to design flaws.

Fiskars X27, ISOcore 8#, cheap fiberglass handled (cracked) 8# maul, and an assortment of odds an ends from my Dad - an old Craftsman axe and two hatchets.

I will comply with your prescription.
I'm planning on getting a truckload tomorrow morning.
I've had it cut for awhile, but had replace all 4 batteries in the truck.
    Good to go now!

    Thank you, Dr!

20+ antique hatchets from late 19th century to early 20th.Including various styles/designs like Broad hatchets,Shingling,Lather's,ones for various woodworking trades -cooper's,wheelwright's etc.A few from England,France,Germany, some with handles, some without.

Original 1970's patent 15lb Sotz Monster Maul (many years ago I had it modified with heavier wall pipe reinforced handle, now total weight is 20 pounds.) It rarely gets used now cause I'm not 30 or 35 anymore.

Vintage Plumb single & double bit axes
Rare Puget Sound pattern felling axe heads - Kelly Axe & Plumb
Helko 9.5lb splitting maul (same design as the Ochsenkopf Big Ox & Stihl's copy)
Husqvarna Splitting axe 5.5lb head made by Hult Bruks
    Fiskars X27
Atha 8lb maul 100+ yrs old

Started collecting hatchets/axes/mauls at age 17,cause I needed a couple of them for splitting kindling & logs.Over the years the collection grew, mostly as wants over needs as I got older.

No pics here but all I have is one of the X-27 types with the black handle, an isocore maul, an old 8 lb. go devil type that I got free from a neighbor and a cheap hardware store boys axe to use when felling to pound in the wedges.
