Luckily all escaped without serious injuries but unfortunately the Erickson air crane known as Christine lays on its side in a dam. Water bombing aircraft reportedly 'flipped' scooping up water Like most Victorians I fell in love with these beautiful machines and the brave people who fly them when they started fighting fires down here over a decade ago, they have saved many homes and properties including some not far from myself. I remember watching one of these awesome machines dropping water on a fire burning over on the next ridge less than a mile from my road back in 2007.
