Hi Guys - I watch a lot of YT videos of tree felling. The fallers talk about low-side/high side of the tree. I thought I understood the concept until I saw a faller talking about it completely opposite of what I thought. Is the high side of a leaning tree the side opposite of the lean? I.E. If the tree is leaning right, the high side is the left side of the tree. Is this correct or am I bass-ackwards. Thankeee.... J
I don’t watch videos of loggers, but in my mind it would be trees on a slope and being on the high side. If it’s a leaner on flat ground, I would never want to be directly under the lean. I’m always outside the lean cutting.
