Well, I've come down with CAD! There is no local dealer and it's pre '93, so I expect some difficulty. It's gonna need a new bar and chain to start. Anybody know the Oregon or Forrester replacement 14" bar and chain required? Pics to come this evening.

Even Oregon draws a blank. "No Bars/Chains were Found"

    Try this:

Measure up the studs, tensioner and oil locations, then compare to the drawings/photos.

For me, it has PITA written all over it. I worked (or specifically ATTEMPTED) to work on a Mini Mac once and vowed never again. Gave the saw away and never looked back.

If you enjoy the challenge of working on them you can probably have an unlimited supply delivered to your door.

Looks to be a fairly nice example.

It is really clean. Haven't got it to start yet, but I will. PITA is prolly pretty accurate, but my CAD isn't scared. I do like the "armor" instead of plastic casing, but it doesn't make it lite or easy to get into.

Well, I've ordered a rebuild kit for the carb and some dogs. Need to purchase a new fuel filter and line and I believe I'll have myself a fine example of a running McCulloch pm 310. Curious which of the carbs are "better", the zama or the wal-something?
