I need a new axe to pound wedges. I want quality. Yea I could buy a $21.63 axe from Tractor Supply and get the same results. But when it comes to tools, I like quality. I was looking at this, Traditional (Multi-purpose) Axe - Forest tools. How do you all think it does pounding wedges?

If you are talking about wooden or plastic felling wedges it should work well. It is not appropriate for pounding steel splitting wedges.

My Gransfors Bruks small forest axe works well with my set-up. Here is a pic of it in my Grizzly Peak Industries holster.[IMG]
