Just happened across an ad for a 2007 Accentra. It has been sitting for 2 years. Bought in 2009, build date April 2007. Needs an ignitor. I ran it and the motors sound good. The controls work. It looks like it needs a cleaning. The guy is asking $2000 for it. Lower than most I've seen. What say you all? Should I make an offer and if so, how much?

I bought my Accentra back in 2008 for the same amount with a skirt and vent and build date of 2005, original owner. This one is 12yr old and you should get it much cheaper! I seen some selling from $1000-1500.
    Good luck :)

I can see why it needs a igniter, looking at that burn pot.I paid 1200 or 1300 for my 06 4 years ago. There is currently one for sale about 3 hours from me,1500.I will not consider going and looking at it until price drops at least 250 bucks. But,also depends, stove prices vary by locale.

I'm thinking $1500 TOPS....and that may be a little on the high end.

Thanks. I was kinda thinking that was what y'all would say. I'm in no rush and figured I would start looking now. I saw a couple for $1800 in PA but I have no idea how old they are. I'll keep my eyes open and if it's still available in a month or two, I may offer him $1500. He bought it from Home and Hearth in Hampton Falls NH and they were the only ones who ever touched it. The ignitor died just after he put his house on the market and he knew he wouldn't need it in the new house so he didn't get it fixed.

agreed above....$1500 cash tops......used, no warrantee, no pipe, no floor protection, maybe needs igniter (not sure until you test the igniter...might just be dirty). I can get more for these used ones, but we have to go through them and replace all thats messed up, as well as clean them.....id probs get $2000 for one, but that'd include a year warrantee, labor and materials.......

Just went and looked at another one. $2150.

    Harman Accentra pellet stove

Has been gone through and new exhaust blower. It's a 2004. Not as nice cosmetically. It's a no go for me. I'm in no rush and I may possibly have to travel a bit. Slvrblkk, I think I saw the one near you on Craigslist. I don't understand why they are so expensive up here. I think may throw a $1500 offer to the one I posted above and see what he says.

The other potential issue I am going to have is the exhaust on my Baby is not in the center of the stove. My pipe runs up my wall 10 feet and exits near the peak of my roof. The Harman has a centered exhaust. No way will my wife agree to offset the stove because it's centered in the room. In the same vein, no way will she agree to angle the pipe so what can I do? I have Dura Vent pipe and need to angle the pipe over 6 to 8 inches to line everything up. I hate adding bends but I may have no choice.

Are you sure the one I looked at yesterday dropped to $1500? I see it and it's still $2000.

But,on the other hand, there are several old earth stoves out here, and they want 600-900 dollars!.There is one of those old console stoves(looks like there should be a TV in between 2 speakers) and they want 600 dollars. There are several very old Whits, that start at 700 and go up!. Depends on the market, and the stupidity of people.
