Some of you may have seen a post where I was looking for a saw for work. Long story short I selected the 555 so that I can have an AT saw. Plus Stihl was more than we were comfortable spending at this time.

I got the 555 with an 18" bar (blade, for those of you in Rio Linda) and the power box. 3 cans of the premix fuel and a gallon of bar oil. I need to get calculating on how much oil I need to make the cans 32:1 now.

My boss dropped it in my office for me saturday, what a good guy.
    :ups:
And I won't list the price we got cause its a YOU SUCK price for sure. Trust me its the cheapest price I bet anyone has paid for one. Like I got it for dealer price..seriously. IMG_20140922_092736_613.jpg IMG_20140922_123123_632.jpg

If the pre-mix fuel is Husqvarna fuel @50:1 that is 0.64oz (32/50) oil to the quart, 32:1 would be 1oz (32/32) to the quart you need to add 0.36oz (1-0.64) of Husqvarna XP Two-Stroke oil to each 32oz can of fuel.

Add premix to the can..I guess you meant oil?

So too get 32:1 in the husqvarna premix 50:1 can I need to add .36oz to each can?

And is there any issue with running this sawso hard the first tank to set carb. Thought you really wanted to take it easy and vary the throttle more on the first few tanks?

You are correct 0.36oz of oil to each quart can. It is best to follow the HVA recommendations for the AutoTune found in you saws' manual. If you are going to run 32:1 exclusively make sure that is what is in the saw the frst time you start it.

0.36floz is approximately two teaspoons, there are 6 teaspoons to a fluid ounce.

Read your manual, the AT saws need to be run hard right out of the box. Great saw, BTW!

Yep I am going to run 32:1 in it in its life.

I have read the whole section on AT and calibration...all 2 paragraphs!

This was my choice... wanted about this size saw plus I have heard good things about AT so I figure let someone else buy my first one :).

I almost hate to fuel it up...it looks so clean and shiny! Who am I kidding I can't wait to run it:D

To get 32:1 using the 2.6 oz bottles.... Add one bottle of oil to .65 gallons of gas.

Edit : reread your post and realize you have premixed fuel. So ignore me.

Work bought it. Not me. I dont own this saw. I will be my saw for my work truck. To cut trees out of the road or trim brush out etc. Cut a little firewood every now and then just to keep it in running condition :)
