There’s also plug connections installed on my atv so I can plug a car battery into it. Otherwise the atv would need to be running. I’m figuring once the chunks get around 90 lbs I’ll use it. That’s today, who knows how my back will feel tomorrow ;)

Little rig for the front hitch and to get the rope up and out of the way. Old scaffolding wheel pipe and arm from the masonry days. A log dog and a few whacks with a 3 lb hammer.
Maybe the best,,,,,a remote control for the winch.

Pretty neat. I would like to see a pic of you lifting a round with it.

Sounds like you've got it together. Would definitely like to see a video of something other than your thumb.

Overall it works pretty good. Maybe not as good as a hydraulic table but definitely better than humping the big boys up by manpower. I cannot split vertical. Tried it and refuse to ever go that route again. I’ll noodle first.
The hydraulic table is faster overall I’m sure. One nice thing about this rig is I don’t even need to roll them to the table. It’ll bring them on its own if need be. Just jam in the dog and winch em right out of the pile. Not sure if that’s worth it but time will tell. Winches aren’t all that fast so rolling may be optimal.
This winch does have a high gear retrieve mode which is quite fast. Maybe too fast. Not made for pulling but it does. Probably not good for the winch I’m sure.
The remote does shut itself off after some time. Gotta press an extra power up button to get it working again. Life is tough.

Pushing a splitter in front is a trip though. ;) :)
