All cherry cut it up immediately because cherry weathers horribly in my experience…this wood will all be burnt in the smoker

The heartwood is very rot resistant. Cut some smalls of long down cherry recently. Bark and sapwood long gone but heartwood nice and hard...and dry!

Ive had both where the inside heartwood is intact or the very opposite where the heartwood is rotted completely and the edges are still hard…lots of different species of cherry around..its gold to me as i am addicted to barbecuing

Are you cooking for the whole neighborhood? That’s a lot of smoking.

Great score and delivered to your door! I love cherry. It smells great every time you pass the stacked wood. Very easy to sell around here for good prices because of the number of "real wood" smokers and cookers!
