Got home from work Friday evening and found this on my lawn next to the driveway!
My buddy said it will be cut but now split. No big deal , something to do on Saturday.Split and stack I did.

Great Looking stuff...:handshake: Looks like it might have been dead and still standing when it was cut...

That is some very nice firewood. Some won't like it but I certainly do.

I like it a lot and Ive only primarily burned the bark that shed off the logs like it was paper off a desk. Holy moly did it just dry out ever so quickly. The wood is at a standstill, likely for a year. But hearing comparisons, the wood is just one of the hardest and most durable around here. Madrone matches it for heating but not likely for durability as much but its worthy of mention.

Yeah some of it was dead with the bark already off of it . I set that aside after I split it and will save it for the brutal cold weather if we have it this year.I know the rest of it will have to sit and season for probably a year and half at least. I have about a cord of Norway Maple and Ash to get me thru this winter plus some other mixed stuff.

I guarantee it. That stuff will run you out the house with the BTU's it puts out.
