Got 3 truckloads c/s hauled out of the woods today. This was the last load so had to leave some room for saws and fuel and stuff. 20160507_175016.jpg Big tree so there will be a lot more loads coming out over the next few weeks

Dead standing or was it on the ground, looks like a little punk on the outside but some darn good heart wood.

Dead and down. Came off Forestry. Permit only allows for dead and down. The sapwood is a little punk but the heartwood is perfect. We have a lot of these on the ridges. They are good for firewood and shade and that's about it. The deer would rather starve than eat the acorns, bear wont eat the the acorns, woodpeckers don't even like them.
