I watched these two guys for four hours in the freezing rain, using only a small handheld battery powered hacksaw getting the limbs removed from this old tree.
I went up and asked if i could help them using my chainsaw, but they did not speak english and did not understand what i was asking.
This is as far as they got before it started snowing. Limb removing with just a small battery hacksaw.jpg.JPG

Since i just have a Stihl 261 with 18 inch bar, i was wanting to see what i could get done, and maybe try at felling this tree.
I was planing on a larger saw but as of today i did not even get the $600 they said was being sent to people.
So i wanted to see just how far i could get with the 261 and 18 inch bar.

Ive pruned a limb or two with my sawzall only because i didnt have a chain saw with me and needed to get a limb out of the way on a job.
Persistance paid off as not too bad for a couple hours work. Wonder how many batteries they had?

A sawzall with a pruning blade is awesome for a few small limbs. Anything more than that is a good excuse to crank up a saw!
