High winds forecast tonight. This White Pine had a slight lean towards the house. It was just last year another one hit the house in a storm.
Today was the day this one had to go.

I pulled a rookie move and stuck a bar and chain on the release cut.
I should have plunge cut it but didn't because I had a rope on it and it was leaning. Then I had to start again on the release cut like a dummy.

It came down exactly where I wanted it to. IMG_20250314_114237.jpg IMG_20250314_114109.jpg IMG_20250314_114140.jpg

I ended up getting several nice logs out of it that will mill up nicely.
Good chance last nights wind would have brought it down.
