Another eight ponderosa pines went this summer at Goldwater Lake. We shut the main gate at daybreak as this was one that had to be felled across the entrance road. A perfect lean and space meant I didn't have to climb this one. Felled, bucked up and road cleared in about 40 minutes. The tree stood at 80 feet tall but the beetles were still in it so I didn't want the firewood for obvious reasons. Everything hauled out of the area.
