    No

The squirrel cage room blower was full of sawdust, so I pulled it out and saw a mound of sawdust! Maybe that is why there was sawdust all over the carpet?

Looks like a bad Nylatron Auger Bearing? The auger does wobble around in the bearing plate hole.

    Has anyone seen this?.

Sounds like the lower auger plate bushing, or what else others may call it....

    Yes
I have a couple of bearings on order. It may be a good time to "Pimp the Auger" - check for burrs and "Auger Pox" and install a brand new high quality Gleason-Avery auger motor?

    Hi Mike
Yes fines. What type of bearing does the 25-ep stove have?

on the auger? doesn't have one , its direct drive straight to the shaft, we have a cast sleeve which fits over the feed tube and a heavy rubber grommet between it and the motor itself to seal it up. no need for a bearing

check page 48 of this manual for the exploded view of the auger and motor assembly

Oh, yes, thanks for refreshing my memory. I have worked on a few and sold 2 new ones. I only replaced 1 auger motor so far. They are pretty rugged machines! I like them. :)

Therefore the 25-EP relys on the bearing in the auger motor. Smart Design. Why have two bearings? LOL

yeah, unless you are going to float the auger in the tube a second bearing is overkill. we do it with bottom feed units but its not necessary for top feeders if the feed system is well thought out
