I've been eyeing this one up for almost 2 years now (in Europe its called the Suprema Grande), one of the biggest wood fired cookstove available. And its a real beauty!

Pricey, but the company has a great reputation from what I've read. This stove would look great in kitchen sitting on the hearth I have already built!

The wife and I are in serious discussions about it right now. We both want the stove. I'm going to talk with Woody Chain to see if he can get the stove in.......

Will you still have an elec/gas stove too or... you considering goin' full hawg wild straight to the mid 1800s? I think you've got the stove fuel covered... :axe: IMO, the price for a stove like that would be what I'd expect today. Very nice.

It looks nice. I'm a bit confused though. So the firebox in on the left and has a tray you can take in and out for cooking? Can you stuff that firebox with wood like a stove? It looks like they only have a few pieces in for the pics.

Lol no we're keeping the gas range but man it'd sure be nice over the winter and the holidays to have an extra oven/stove. We did a big dinner on Thanksgiving and also on Christmas Eve and the extra cooking area would be nice.

I'd love to have something like this. It's beautiful in the cream porcelain color.

Yes it has an optional "grilling" rack for doing steaks on the firebox side. You can fill that firebox up with wood if you want.

How easy would it be to regulate the temp with that though? I wonder if it has a bypass to regulate heat to the oven side. If you toss in some hedge, your roast will be nuked.

That thing is awesome Scotty. Someday I'll have something along those lines as well. I've got my fingers crossed that this comes to be for you, I'd love to follow along. It's really beautiful!

They claim it's very easy to regulate, and very stable as far as cooking temps go when you have it loaded with wood.

Couldn't find a good video on the America but they cover the Rosa in depth and it probably is similar in many ways other than size. Looks like a beautiful Italian made design. The Ferrari of cookstoves. :D

That would be a wonderful addition to the kitchen! Does it have a SS water tank option with the possibility of tapping into your domestic water?

Not sure WS. I'm sure I could whip something up if I needed to though!

My biggest hold-up from buying one of these when I found out about then was the fact that it wasn't UL or Warnock-Hersey approved at that time. But it IS now.

They claim a 76.5% efficiency rating (which is probably inflated a bit), but I'm sure it's quite efficient if they sell it in Europe.

I like that Kitchen Queen given firebox size. It's not as Purdy, but at the end of the day...a bigger firebox is nice.

I think that price is incredible considering how much stove that is. And yeah, if it's certified in Europe I imagine it's a fairly clean, efficient machine. I spent a few minutes pricing chimney parts just now since you have me thinking about new chimneys I apparently need now! Doh.

When I was a little boy all my mother had for cooking was the wood cook stove. She was a wonderful baker too with that thing. In addition it did have the water reservoir and that is all we had for heating water. It did nicely most times until my sister got older. Seems females usually require lots more water than the males.

When I grew up we didn't have a bath, we had a path.
