For years and years, Mrs MikeInMa's family, has observed Labor day with a sort of clambake - home-made clam chowder(red and white), home-made clam cakes/fritters, steamed clams, corn on the cob, draft beer via a beer ball. As family members aged and the next generation too busy to carry it on, a day of food and family ceased to be. So, in honor of her family's observation, we observe it differently. Chowder and clam cakes from a local restaurant, with local corn on the cob and some coleslaw/cucumbers gets it done. 1st course - w/air fryer onion rings. 2nd course 3rd course might involve a nap. Firing up the grill tomorrow. So, watcha got going where you are?
