Buddy called last night and asked if I'd help him take down a dead chesnut oak at his place. Me and the boy loaded up this morning before it got too hot and headed over. It wasn't very big but I threw a rope on it just to keep it away from the newly installed basketball net. Once it was on the ground I put the boy to work . He likes to pretend he's cutting the logs up.

It looks like he knows what he's doing with that chainsaw.

When my son was young, he had one of those “saws” as well. One day I cut a tree on the property and he got awfully bent out of shape when he realized it wouldn’t cut anything! Lol I still laugh at how mad he was.

That kid knows his tools better than most adults! I just don't think he's quite ready to cut on his own yet. He helps me make a few cuts here and there.

    jrider haha that's great!

Looks like quality family time.

I labored most of the day as well. “Painted” water seal on a bunch of our pool deck and did some gardening. Blazing hot it was. Wood just sucked it up like a sponge.

Great little helper . I spent most of the day bush hogging some pasture and mowing grass, did I say it was hot and humid?? Thankfully son and DIL invited us to cookout and pool in the evening :D

Great pictures, right there. Making memories is what it's all about. They grow up so fast
