We have been fortunate enough as a family to be able to finally put in a swimming pool ! We haven't went on a vacation in many years ....so we decided to make home more fun since we are always here lol.
So the install company just peeled up the sod and topsoil all in one fail swoop...mixed it all in one pile. So I spread it out with the BX2380 and tilled it up a bunch of times. Mixed together really well into a nice easy to spread topsoil. Will help fix up around the pool ! Love having the tractor and tools to make life easier !
Now inside for a good checkup and blow out !

Man that is some good looking dirt. Definitely agree about having the equipment to make life easier. I can't believe I waited so long to get a tractor. What brand and size tiller do you have?

Thanks..pretty lucky to have such nice soil here...minus the rocks and old brick lol !
I have a 4ft Countyline tiller..which I believe are made by Tarter. They have some YouTube videos on there tillers where they till over cement blocks and asphalt..pretty impressed by it ! They also have 6 tines per flange instead of 4. With that I can turn up most gardens in one or two passes with ease ! I liked that I had to go two minutes down the road to our local TSC store to get it...and they had 0 percent financing for 18 months when I got it. I'll use someone's money for free any day of the week !
I went with a 4ft tiller ..because even with 2 inch rear wheel spacers on each side of the tractor..it covers my tracks.....and its about as heavy as I'd want to go on my machine. The drivetrain would handle a 5ft....but not weight wise. This tiller is so stout....that if I dont leave the loader on..im popping wheelies !
And it was priced right too..and gear drive. Can also be switched to reverse rotating tines as well. I don't think it's super easy. I'm a guy who prefers forward rotation anyway !

Here's some picks of tiller. Do yourself a favor also. Get a set of Pat's quick hitches for the lower links on the 3 point hitch. Makes things ridiculously easier. I struggled for the first 1.5 years...now I wonder why I didn't do it sooner !
These hitches allow you to hook up to new and old equipment. That way you can get used stuff off Craigslist...or FB....and don't need to worry if they are quick hitch compatible..cuz these work with everything!

Also .....loving that tractor you got . Looks like a tough machine !!!
Yours could probably handle a 5ft tiller. You want to make sure you till over your tire tracks :)

Thanks for the information. I have been looking at 3 point quick hitches. I was considering the SpeeCo Category 1 E-Hitch but as you mentioned it may not be compatible with older attachments. I have watched a couple of videos on the Pat's quick hitch.

Lookin' good HoneyFuzz ... I've got the Reverse till one for my JD and it the landpride w/ the clutch pack... for my JD x720. Its rated for my HP output, but the JD dealer that I bought it from made me sign a agreement that basically said that the tiller wasn't rated for my tractor. But I had done my research and 10 years later it still works like a charm. A little TLC and you'll be fine...

Do you find that your industrial-type tire tread is sufficient and doesn't slip all the time? As opposed to having ag-style tread. My brother's bx2350 has tread even worse... landscape tread. Not good for garden work or anything requiring additional traction. He wishes he had grippier tread. I have your style on my 50-hp Mahindra, and I wish I had ag-style. Of course, ag-style would be more apt to tear up your lawn. Curious if R4 like you have is ok for getting work done.

I've never had a problem. I do extreme woods muddy stuff...concrete..mow grass...plow snow on our uphill driveway . They are easy on the lawn...and good enough for everything else. No problems. What I do like about them is they are a good all around tire. I've never been stuck...but with a front end loader..its hard to really get "stuck" !
