Just acquired an older Kozy Komfort stove. I plan on putting it in my basement. I haven't burned wood in a house since I was about 5 so I don't really know much about the do's and don'ts. My initial question is how big of a problem is it that the outlet on the stove is 8" and the hole in the chimney is only 6"? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My Fire Department, would not let you run it that way. They considered a safety issue, because the stove was designed to run with a larger exhaust pipe. For me, the fire department inspection was required for the insurance company. Welcome to the FHC!

Also, welcome to FHC! My suggestion here on your above post is read, read, read... ! I personally believe you'll be fine but go slow. I've seen many stoves reduced but you need to learn how to burn them.
