Accumulated a bunch of pine over the last month or so and got to splitting it this weekend. Most of this will be sold at my 8 year olds firewood stand so he was my main helper. I’m thinking it’s about 8-9 cords.

He may sell some to campers but most of his off winter sales are just folks looking to have a fire in their backyard

I had to do a double take at your thread title. Not accustomed to seeing you work pine.
Some primo splits! Does he like making firewood with dad?
Is his firewood stand going year round?

That's nice that the kid is helping you out. Too many of my friends' kids wouldn't go near a pile of wood unless it was in a video game.
When I was a kid I HATED splitting wood with my stepdad. Just despised everything about it; the heat, the bugs, the splinters, the smell of oak got to me in a visceral way that I can't quite put into words. Fast forward 30 years and I'm splitting oak by hand twice a day just to get my fix. And sometimes I put my nose right up next to a fresh split to get a good whiff.
I guess people change... and the addiction is REAL.

Great and I still like what you and your son are doing together. Him selling the wood is super great!

He has his stand because of me. He’s my mini me and I eat up every second I can get. And yes, his firewood stand is year round now.

His business just turned 2. He loves getting in his breaks while I cut! Can’t blame him, he is only 8. Haha
