My girls were cold on Saturday morning so I lit up the stove for the first time. Just some scrap wood. Took the chill off. image.jpg

Nice looking hearth area. Looks like my old stove from last year, I liked my Oslo.

Very nice red. I wanted to have a fire this morning, but it's 60 outside.
It takes that long Jack? Mine is starting to look like that now.

Should have told them how many times wood warms ya, then sent 'em out to stack splits. :axe:

They usually help stack. Saturday was rainy and cold so the oldest my wife and I had a Walking Dead marathon. The younger one was playing with her toys.

My girls, wife and daughter, complained of being cold yesterday afternoon. I looked over at the thermometer 69 inside and 53 outside. I was just sitting around watching football, so what the hell lets go light a fire...stove is in the basement. I had a hell of a time establishing a draft, which is really unusual and I just chalked it up to the weather and didn't think much of it. House warmed up nicely. Later when I went to bed I went upstairs to find several windows wide open:picard:. Lesson learned, girls cold...need a fire...step one go check for open windows.
