That works as long as you aren't a hoarder. But when you start hoarding, you loose count because whatever is left is only what ever you have been able to hoard so far. Hoarders are forever on the scrounge. There will be bargains and must haves that will upset that record keeping system you have.

Out in Arizona it's been so cold that counting bags is easy...one day = one bag. :shiver:

At the beginning of the season I had pictures of my 4 stacks (5+ tons) to keep track. And then I started buying 6 bags here of this, 6 bags there of that, another 6 bags over there. Oh, and started transferring from the garage into the basement. I have no idea now - somewhere north of 1.5 tons and south of 2 tons.

I really don't care how much I burn, its how much I have available to burn. I'm starting to get the shakes cause I'm down to a couple of bags over 3.5 tons. Have to head to the capital city anyway in the next couple of days, so I'll be picking up a few more bags.
And to think, last year the shakes started at only having a ton available :D

285 to go might need to replinish soon. $4 a bag softies are tempting especially when 3 miles away.
