I finished cutting up my last load of wood yesterday and there was an overnight storm that blessed me with more. :dancer:
My yard got pretty close to being free of wood. Phew that was a close call.

Im hoping barkless hickory is easier to split than green.

Hickory is definitely one of the woods I get that make me work at the splitter. It’s worth it though.

Pignut and mockernut come up everywhere around here. The squirrels must forget where they bury them. They can grow as big as oak trees. Some are taller. There’s a few giants outside my fence that tower over the surrounding trees, just massive. Further into the woods is one of the the biggest Hickories I’ve ever seen. I’ll have to measure and get pics of it sometime.

Not that much of it. Lefty has a few trees that he would like to have down, when/if we ever get caught up. All I ever burned was some old fence posts.
