This winter birds got in the chimney and ripped up the insulation blanket in my Oslo. (While checking everything out I noticed the baffle is also starting to crack but I think it might have been like that last year too. Nothing too bad but I might buy a replacement just in case it worsens).

Back on topic... I have leftover liner insulation, anyone use this for on top of the baffle plate? Or think it’s a good idea? I’ll prob just buy the blanket made for on top of the baffle but trying to save a buck.

Should work...might want to peel the foil off of it first though

My blanket disintegrated. Think it's ok to burn without it?

Don't think it will hurt anything really...as long as the baffle is still OK...might burn a bit dirtier and lose the secondary burn a little easier though...

From what I understand brenndatomu is right. Makes things more efficient.
