Picked this up the other day. Needs a good cleaning and a new handle, but couldn't pass it up. Had a friend that heated his house with one years ago and it did a nice job. Anyone currently use one or have used in the past?
No, but they are a very interesting looking stove. I would be interested in hearing how well it works. I have seen quite a few of them for sale in my area.
Watching this, jotul is on the list for our master bedroom sweet we're planning. They have some really cool small stoves.
From what I can remember 20 years ago, this stove radiates quite a bit of heat. My friend had a smaller house and this stove did well using poplar, cottonwood type woods in it. I'm not sure exactly how I'm going to use it. Might go in a garage or a barn or a cabin I have yet to build. Probably will use it in the cabin until I can swing the kitchen queen cookstove my wife wants. However I use it, I'm just glad I found it, $150 well spent.
