I'm in the market for a 70-75cc saw and the jonsered 2172 has caught my eye anyone got one? Or any other jonsered that can fill me in on the good and or bad on these saws?
That model has caught my eye as well. Isn't it essentially the same as a husky 372? Those are well respected saws.
That's what I've seen and the only difference I see is the top handle on the husky is angled back and the jonsered is straight
I have a 2054 and a 2166 with extra bananas. Both are excellent saws and have been very rugged and dependable.
Yes. They are the same as a 372 xp x-torq. I've had a 2165, 2172, and two 2171's and thy were all good saws.
Have a372xp, absolutely love it, only problem is I find I cut more wood than I can put in my truck before I even realize it.... Maybe I need a bigger truck? If they're virtually the same, I'd say a good deal on either is a go
Get the 2166. It's a 2172 with port restrictions. Can remove the port covers and grind out the restrictions and turn it into a 2171...thats the only difference. 2166 hp= 4.8 2172 hp=5.6 The 2166 is generally $100 or so cheaper than the 2172. I have left mine alone thusfar and it's been a good saw. Will flood on you every once in a while on a cold start, but other than that, no problems aside from very lean factory jetting. Get the $5 husqvarna screwdriver off amazon so you can fatten it up a bit when you get it.
