Anyone have any experience with either of these saws? We are thinking of getting my brother in law a saw for his birthday and he really likes my old 2054. What's your thoughts on them?

If I was buying a Jonsered about that size, I believe I would get the 2252. It is the size of the 2250, but has power similar to the 2255 and it a pro design built saw.

That is a really nice saw and was my first choice but it's out of the budget and honestly it's overkill for his needs.

The 2250 should be a good home owner saw. I think it replaced the 2150 which was a good saw.

Get yourself a new 2252 and give him the 2054. Win, win!

That would be a good deal there ;)

But either of the saws you listed are good ones. I had a 455 Rancher and loved it. I cut a lot of wood with that saw. A sharp chain and I was good to go.

I have a 55 rancher and it's the same way dex good dependable saw. His air compressor just quit working today so if it can't be fixed looks like we may be buying one of them instead.
