    Had this since early February.
It was missing that exhaust deflector that screws to the muffler cover.Previous owner removed it for whatever reason & its a small hard to find part. After almost 5 months of searching I gave up.

I cut a 12" long piece of heavy gauge steel tubing from some scrap, then a local welding shop fabricated it for me.A quick cleaning with a wire wheel,a couple blasts of 2000 degree engine enamel, cut it to final length with hacksaw & instant high performance buckshot ported muffler!!! Just need to retune the carb a little & it sounds even meaner now & cooler running at the same time....:dex::yes:

For as much as the deflector was new. Just over $9 plus shipping too. Plus being NLA you didnt have much choice but to come up with something or buy a complete used muffler.

Get that OT while you can for sure. I dont work OT June -Aug, thats my fun months and when I take 4 weeks off and enjoy life :D. I crank out my OT in the colder months when the day light is short.
