To many saws not getting used and going to start with some echos first. SOLD I also have a like new JD 450V = Echo 4500, Echo 6700 with updated 670 side tensioner clutch cover. Maybe even my Echo 3900 go to saw if you twist my arm hard enough. If you want pics of these let me know and I will start new sell thread. I took it in trade 2010 or 11 on some racesaw stuff. Older echo 8000 in John Deere colors 80.7cc. No chain brake just hand guard. Where the OEM hand guard mounted broke off mount on handle. So It has a older poulan style handguard. Has had the squish tighten up 195psi and everything back to stock. Muffler modded. Never had to remove cylinder for any looks so going by original owners word I trust. Carb has had some work done to it to help in the cuts. I still think they would make a good 5ci racesaw too. PHO $400 or something can be worked out if b+c needed. I only have up to a 24" though and pretty sure this saw would pull 36". Should mention I guess that I am open to trades on things that go bang etc. This goes for all saws for sale or willing to part with not listed. Just so you know I dont clean saws up for pics. These are how they are after my use and put up. Earlier pics dont have the hand guard on it yet.
Here is what Brad thought of the JD after testing them back to back with 24" bar buried. I think more then a few were surprised with the yellow echo 8000 yesterday with 24" full comp full chisel chain buried in hardwoods. Blsnelling even took it with him to test against a Poulan 5200 85cc , Pioneer P60 98cc and he came back saying the JD 800 beat them both pushing hard and using normal bucking in hardwood testing.
That is a a killer saw! Love the JD colors. I am going on vacation this upcoming weekend, I will have to check funds upon return.
Dex the baby brother. JD 450V = 45cc feels little stronger in cut then OE 346 46cc. Same weight and balance of the 346 too. Manual oiler option even on it just like the bigger 800V.
$200 ready to go. Still has the sticker on it on AF cover. Have to check again to see what it said. I have a JD 450 parts saw I have $75 in. I would let go for $50 with this saw. Pics of it and problems on Chainsaw Repair. It ran but had problems I found. If I own the good 450 the parts 450 stays with me.
Echo 6700 Can you guys see this pic? Try to cheat and take embedded pics straight from my site. This is the Rat Saw I took in trade I posted in that thread. Another saw I took in trade on racesaw stuff back in 2010-11. Slowly replaced muffler and updated to side tensioner echo 670 clutch cover with chain brake. 66.7cc Mild muffler mod. $275 PHO or $300 with the 18" b+c which I think is still square filed.
Just so you know there is a tree service guy I do some work on his saws. He is looking for some saws to add to his fleet. I told him I would take some tree work on my 5-6 huge front maples for saws. He said it will be a bit before he gets a break in work to come look at trees and saws. I was going to offer these in the trade for work plus others I dont have listed, just in case you are on the fence on any. Echo 3900 39cc trim saw is back on the list now too.
Cleaning up the jd 450v today and noticed something that previous owner or maybe I have done. Where the tag goes on the non structural part of crankcase. 1 rivet gone tag gone and cracked the non structural part of lower lip of the crankcase. Was covered in chips in past and today decided to clean it up for a member on my site asking about it.
I put a like new condition old style oregen powermatch. 72dl 18" .325 with like new Carlton N1 chain. Just cut up some crotched gnarly maple that took almost the whole 18". I wish I had a OE 346 46cc to compare it to. This thing might take it with what seems like extra torque for a 45cc.
The echo 6700 with 670 updated clutch cover with side tensioner and 18" windsor speed tip bar 3/8 and thinking square filed chain $250 plus ship or local pick up. Pic, she is used and was friends landing saw. Still runs and cuts good.
